Chinese Workers Christmas Eve Carnival

Christmas is the traditional festival for most western countries. In China, people call these festivals celebrated by foreigners “foreign festivals”. Our workmates who are in Nigeria, which is about 10,000 km away from China, celebrated the Christmas just as the Nigerian do.

    In Nigeria, shop owners will close their shops on holidays and festivals and go back home to celebrate the festival. In order to ensure the normal supply of daily-use commodity, the service workers of Nigeria Yongxing Steel Company have prepared the food, wine and drinking in advance for the Christmas party. To create an happy atmosphere for the party, the workers purposely prepared music, loudspeaker, and microphones, etc.

    The party started at 18:00 on December 25, 2012. Zhang Xianghai, the standing vice general manager of Nigeria Yongxing Steel Company, toasted to employees and extended festival greetings, which showed the company’s care towards its employees. General Manager Zhang also hopes that everyone in the future could keep a good body and make persistent efforts to meet the arduous challenge with a brand new gesture. Workers attended to the party expressed their determination and confidence to meet the challenge.

    Workers toasted each other with delicious food. Everyone was in a passionate mood. The party went to a climax with inspirational songs and a passionate speech made by Mr. Yang, the person in charge of mechanical and electrical. Mr. Zhang, Mr. Huang, Mr. Yu and Mr. Pen sang songs one by one and the party atmosphere rose higher. Both leaders and workers were physically drunk but their mind and ambition is clear. Everyone knows that there is still a long way ahead and it needs everyone’s effort to complete the mission. “When the river has water, its branches will be naturally full of water; if the river has no water, its branches will dry up”, everyone was grateful for the platform and opportunity provided by the company. They are all eager for developing and growing with the company.
